Blast From The Past #1

The sky was beginning to change from day to night. It was a Saturday evening and as usual Nicki and Drake were hanging out but this time it was at Drake's house.

"I'm hungry" Nicki said, leaning her head on Drake's shoulder. 

"What do you want to eat?" Drake asked, looking down at her.

"Do you have ice cream?" 

"I'll check" Drake got up and walked into the kitchen. He opened the freezer and searched for some ice cream. "Okay. We've got vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, cookie dough, mint and... Rum and raisin"

"Hmm.. I'll have vanilla" Drake turned around and looked at her "Please" 

Drake grabbed the tub from the freezer and grabbed two bowls from the cupboard. He then scooped out enough ice cream for each bowl and put the ice cream back.

"Here" Drake handed her her bowl and a spoon.

"Thank you" Nicki smiled.

Once Drake had grabbed his spoon and sat down with his bowl, they began to eat their ice cream and continued watching TV.

"Aubrey" Nicki said softly while she put her bowl on the table in front of her.

"Yes?" 

"Do you see us being friends when we're old?

"Of course, I do. Why did you ask?" 

"I don't know. I was just wanted to make sure" She shrugged.

"Don't worry, we'll be friends forever" Drake hugged Nicki.

"Hopefully more than friends" he whispered, unaware that Nicki had heard him.
