16. The Morning After

After making love for the first time together, Nicki and Drake were lying under the covers. The room was silent, all that could be heard was their soft breathing. Drake looked at her for a while taking in her beauty. Nicki was asleep with her hair was all over the pillow her head was rested on and her mouth was open slightly, her lips parted.

She's so beautiful.

Drake moved some of Nicki's hair out of her face then softly kissed her and whispered "I love you" then he gradually fell asleep.

Nicki woke up to the sun shining through a hole in the curtains on her face. She turned around to see Drake lying on his stomach, she noticed a few scratches on his back.

I really must have been scratching him really hard.

She ran her hand up and down his back unconsciously.

"Huh?" Drake said into his pillow. Nicki moved her hand just as he turned around.

"Good morning" Nicki smiled.

"Morning beautiful" Drake smiled back.

"I'm going to the bathroom, okay?" Nicki said then swung her legs over the edge of the bed. As her feet touched the ground when she stood up, she sucked in a breath.

"Shit." Nicki cursed. Drake smirked knowing he had caused it.

"Want some help achy?" 

"Yes please" Drake walked around the bed and swept Nicki off her feet.

"I really beat that pussy up, huh?" Drake laughed.

"Shut up" Nicki rested her head against his chest.

"Want me to put the shower on for you?" Drake rested Nicki on the side of the bath.

"Please" Nicki replied. Drake turned the shower on and waited for it to get the right temperature, then he picked Nicki back up and stood her up in the shower.

"You'll be okay till I come back right?"

"I should be"

"There a towel on the rack for you to use" Drake said then closed the bathroom door behind him.

"What time is it?"

"Almost 10am"

"We need to hurry up, I told Lauren we'd meet them downstairs for breakfast at 10"

"Alright" Drake tied the laces on his Jordan’s and Nicki pulled her hair up into a doughnut bun on top of her head.

"Okay, let's go" Drake opened the hotel room door and let Nicki walk out before him then he locked the door and they made their way down to the hotel lobby.

When they arrived downstairs, they spotted their friends sat in the lobby area on the chairs that were set off for guests to sit on.

"And they finally come out of their room" Lauren said.

"We had a busy night, so excuse us" Nicki told them. As she walked off, everyone noticed how she was walking differently and immediately knew what her and Drake were busy doing. 

They walked to the hotel restaurant at last to have their breakfast. Nicki only wanted some cereal so she got some cornflakes. Everyone else got a full English breakfast but Drake didn't have bacon or sausage with his. Candi had sunglasses on to hide how hungover she was.

"Did you and Drizzy..." TT whispered to Nicki as she cut her sausage.

Nicki finished eating the contents in her mouth before answering her. "Umm hmm" Nicki nodded. Drake looked up from his plate at her and she gave him a subtle wink. She then sipped on her glass of water.

It was 1pm and everyone was getting ready to leave as they had to check out by 2pm.

"All I smell is sex" Nicki exclaimed putting her stuff into her suitcase.

"I like it, makes me think of that special night we just had"

"I wasn't saying it's a bad smell, I'm just not used to it"

"Wait, you were a virgin?"

"Yes, why are you so surprised?"

"I don't know, you seemed very experienced"

"Thanks, I have had sexual encounters before"

"Alright, let's change the subject" Drake laughed.

Thank God.

At 1:30pm, Nicki and Drake had finished packing. They decided to go and check on everyone else. First they went to TT's and Jerome's suite.

Drake knocked on the door. "Who is it?" TT called.

"Room service" Nicki said changing her accent.

"2 seconds" TT said. 

"Get your shirt on and put on your pants, room service is outside the door" Jerome did what he was told. After they were both presentable, TT opened the door without seeing who was behind it.

"We are here to clean the room" Nicki said in the same accent.

"Okay" TT said then sat on the chair on her phone and Jerome was on his phone.

Drake whispered in Nicki's ear, "They have even notice it's us"

"The idiots" Nicki giggled. "Tyesha, its Nicki"

"I feel so dumb! You didn't even change your look or anything. I should have looked at you"

"Yeah you should have, anyway are you all packed cause we have to be out of here soon?"

"Almost, we'll meet you guys in the lobby"

"Okay, we're going to go and check on the others so bye" Nicki waved then walked out and Drake followed her.

They walked down the hallway to Candi and Dominic's suite.

Nicki knocked on the door and Drake spoke in a deeper voice. "Police! Open it up!"

"Fuck. Did they find out about that thing?" Candi said.

"What thing?" Dominic asked.

"It doesn't matter, oh my God! My mum is going to kill me!" Candi took a deep breath and opened the door.

"Fuck you! I was so scared" Candi said when she saw Nicki and Drake standing there.

Nicki burst out laughing and so did Drake. After calming down, Nicki told Candi why she came to her suite.

"It's almost 20 to 2 and we have to sign out by 2 so you should get packed and ready in the like next 5 minutes"

"Alright, see you in a bit" Candi said as Nicki and Drake walked away and shut the door.

"I nearly died" Candi told Dominic.

"Oh God! That was so funny, what can we say to Lauren when we get to her suite?" Nicki asked Drake.

"I have an idea, just follow my lead"

Drake knocked on the door three times. "When she asks who it is say this" He whispered the rest in her ear just in case Lauren could hear. Nicki gave him thumbs up.

"Who is it?"

"Sorry to disturb you but I took a shower and I don't have a towel to cover myself with, can I use one of your towels?" Nicki asked in an older voice.

"Sure, give me 5 seconds" Lauren ran to the bathroom to grab a towel. Josh looked at her strangely and said, "What are you doing?"

"There's a naked woman on the corridor and she needs a towel so I'm giving her one"

"Yeah right" Josh laughed.

Lauren opened the door slightly and handed Nicki her towel.

"Thank you, can I please use your bathroom? I desperately need to pee"

"You're welcome and yeah" Lauren opened the door and let Nicki and Drake walk in but she was behind the door so she could not see their faces.

"Where is it?" Nicki asked, still using her elderly voice.

"Right through the” Lauren stopped herself saying any more. “Nicki?”

"This just gets better and better" Nicki laughed giving Drake a high 5.

"I actually believed you and everything"

"I'm a good actress. We're all going down to get checked out in 5 so I thought I'd tell you"

"Oh okay, we'll there" Lauren said and ushered Nicki and Drake out the door.

5 minutes later, everyone was downstairs about to get checked out.

"I'll check us out, you go hail a cab" Nicki said to Drake. Drake did what he was told and went to hail a cab.

After getting checked out, Nicki went outside to meet Drake but before she hugged everyone and told them goodbye. When the cab pulled up outside Nicki's house, Drake got out and helped her with her small suitcase.

"Thank you" Nicki said as they walked up the driveway.

"You're welcome"

"I'm homeeee" Nicki shouted.

"How was prom?" Carol asked.

"It was great, someone put alcohol in the drinks so I got a bit tipsy but I was fine"

"That's good, did you enjoy it Drake?"

"Yes ma'am" Drake smiled then went upstairs to put Nicki's suitcase in her room.

"You're so nice" Nicki said when she walked into her room.

"I know" Drake helped her unpack and took his suit out of it.

"It was a good idea that we decided to share a suitcase" Afterwards, Nicki and Drake just had a casual chat then Drake said something a bit unusual.

"Remember ages ago when you told me the next time you have a boyfriend, you want him to promise that he'll love you forever"

"Yes" Nicki said nervously.

"Well here's my promise to you" Drake reached into his pocket and pulled out a ring with a pink sapphire love heart in the middle.

"With this ring, I promise to love you forever" Drake took Nicki's right hand and placed the ring on her ring finger on that hand.

"It's so pretty! Thank you so much! I don't even know what to say!"

"You don't have to say anything, just knowing that you accept my promise is enough"

Dear diary,

It's strange saying that Drake is my boyfriend and not just my best friend but I'm getting used to it. He treats me exactly like he did but he's a bit more affectionate, now I know why people always thought we were a couple before. I admit it was hard starting a relationship with my best friend, I thought everything was going to change but surprisingly it didn't which I'm glad. Sometimes I feel like we are rushing with our relationship, like we've only been dating for almost 4 months and we've already had sex. We've already seen each other naked so it wasn't awkward but still. I'm feeling a bit confused at the moment, a break might be a good option...

15. King & Queen

I just wanted to say before you read the chapter, I don't know how proms work and stuff since I don't have my prom till next year but I did try, so sorry for any mistakes :)

"Right, is everything going to plan? You know for prom night?" Lauren asked.

"So where we getting the limo from?" Candi questioned.

"I say we all meet at one of our houses and we get changed there. Who has the biggest bedroom?" TT stated.

"Umm... I'd say Nicki" Candi said.

"Yeah, I was going to say Nicki too and she has an en-suite bathroom so it won't be embarrassing if our towels slip off or something" Lauren told them.

"Right then. Nicki's it is!" TT smiled.

"So I don't have a say in this?" Nicki asked.

"Nope" They laughed.

~

"Mum, Dad! Can I ask you something?" Nicki said, walking down the stairs into the living room.

"You just did!" Robert laughed. Nicki stared at him blankly, "I'm just playing with you, what do you want pumpkin?"

Nicki cringed at the nickname her dad gave her. "So you know how prom's on Friday?"

"Yes"

"Can the girls come over and get changed and stuff? Because we're getting a limo from here to prom so I thought it would be a good idea."

Robert and Carol had a quick discussion before they came up with an answer. "Yes they can but make sure your room is clean when they come over" Carol said.

"My room is always clean but okay, thank you"

"You're welcome" 

"Oh and can ours date meet us here too? But a few minutes before the limo arrives."

"I guess so but no earlier!" Carol said and Nicki raced upstairs to her room.

She grabbed her phone and called TT. "Hey TT, they said yes!"

"That's great. I'll tell the others" The phone beeped twice before Nicki heard some shuffling then she heard someone scream and pulled her phone away from her ear. 

"Have y'all calmed down yet?"

"Yes"

"Okay, I'll talk to you tomorrow. I have another call coming through."

"Bye" TT shouted and the call ended.

Alright then. "Hello?"

"Hey baby"

"Oh it's you" Nicki said in a bland tone.

"You better put some more pep in your voice, I have a surprise for you"

"Oooooooh, what is it?"

"It's a surprise so I can't tell you"

"So why bring it up? Now I'm going to be thinking about what it is. I hate you"

"Love you too" After Drake said that the call ended.

~

"So we all have dates right?" Nicki asked when they all sat down at their lunch table.

"Yes, I have Jerome" TT said.

"I have Dominic" Candi said.

"And I have Josh" Lauren said.

"Hold on, who's Josh?" Nicki asked.

"Oh, he's my mum's friend’s son. He's hot!" Lauren told them.

"I can't wait to meet him then" Nicki said.

"Yeah yeah, can we get some food now?" Candi asked.

~

It was now Friday, the night of their school prom. Nicki heard the bell ring and a bunch of knocks on the door.

"Heyyyyyyy!" TT, Candi and Lauren shouted.

"Come in!" Nicki opened the door so they could scurry through.

"Hello Mr and Mrs. Maraj" They shouted and waved.

"Hello girls"

"Y'all can just go up to my room, I will be up soon" The girls obliged and went up the stairs to her room.

"So I know one of you is waiting to say something to me..."

"Well we just wanted to tell you the limo company called and the limo is going to be here at 8pm sharp"

"Okay. Thanks" Nicki smiled before she dashed upstairs.

~

"The limo is coming in 5 minutes, hurry up! And your dates are here!" Carol shouted from downstairs.

"We're coming!" Nicki shouted. TT put fastened her heels, Candi re-fluffed her hair and Lauren flattened down her dress.

"Girls!" Carol shouted again.

"I just said we're coming!" Nicki shouted and immediately regretted it. "I mean give us 2 seconds"

Nicki grabbed her bag and waited for the rest of them to finish getting ready. A few seconds, everyone was ready and making their way downstairs.

"Men, the girls are on their way down. Stand in a line near the stairs" Robert told them.

One by one the girls descended down the stairs. First Nicki came down, then Candi came down. After Candi, Lauren came downstairs and lastly TT came down as each girl walked down the stairs a few pictures were taken.

The girls stood next to their dates. "You look great babe" Drake whispered in Nicki's ear. "Thank you" Nicki smiled.

Jerome, Josh and Dominic handed TT, Candi and Lauren a rose. "Thank you" They said in unison. Their little moment was disturbed by a horn beeping.

"That must be the limo" TT said and she grabbed Jerome’s hand pulling him towards the door.

"Oop! Looks like we're going!" Candi said and she and Dominic followed behind TT and Jerome.

Lauren shrugged and pulled Josh with her as she walked towards the door. "Bye Mr and Mrs. Maraj" They called as they walked out the door waving.

"Bye, have fun" Robert and Carol shouted back.

"Wait you two" Carol said as Drake and Nicki were about to start walking towards the door.

"Aww what now?" Nicki moaned.

"I just wanted to say you look beautiful" Carol said, "And Drake, you're looking very handsome"

"Why thank you" Drake smiled.

"Yeah, thanks mum" Nicki smiled.

"And I know, I'm hold you guys up but I wanted to get a picture of you two together"

"Umm, okay" Nicki and Drake stood next to each other and smiled while Carol snapped a picture.

"Don't they look great together, Robert?" Carol said showing Robert the photo she had just taken.

"Yes they do" he replied.

"A few more and you can go" Carol snapped 5 more pictures before Nicki and Drake were finally able to go to the limo.

~

In the limo, the teenagers were talking about random things to keep them entertained through the journey.

"Anyway, who are y'all voting for prom queen and king?" Nicki asked.

"I would vote for myself but you know since you can't, I think I'll vote for one of you guys"

"Aww thanks" They smiled.

"I think I'll do that too" Lauren said and the rest of them said something similar.

40 minutes later, the limo pulled outside at the venue for the prom.

"We're here" Lauren sang. Since Lauren was by the door, she got out first followed by the rest of them.

~

2 hours into the prom and everyone had had a few cups of punch and were feeling a bit relaxed.

Nicki was sat at a table, slowly drinking from her cup when she heard Justin Timberlake's mirrors playing. "This is my favourite song, come and dance!" She said, gesturing her friends to join her.

"Let me finish this!" TT told her, she drank the rest of her punch then she grabbed Jerome’s hand dragging him to the dancefloor.

Lauren sighed before whispering in Josh's ear and they both got up.

"Candiceeee!" Nicki said, extending the e in her name.

"Onika, I don't want to" Candi told her.

"Everyone else is! So you'll be here by yourself." Nicki said.

"Ergh, fine. Come on Dominic!" Candi and Dominic went to dance. Nicki and Drake followed them.

They all swayed with their partner to the song and when the chorus played everyone sang along.

Cause I don't wanna lose you now. I'm looking right at the other half of me.

The girls strangely all spun away from their partners then spun back in. 

The vacancy that sat in my heart is a space that you now hold.

The pairs spun around together and swayed again.

Everyone continued dancing until the song ended. Just as Drake was ready to sit down again, Nicki pulled him arm letting him know he wouldn't be going anywhere and Miguel's adorn came on.

After dancing to another three songs, Nicki finally let Drake sit down and she went to grab another cup of punch. While she took a sip, someone whispered in her ear.

"I see you're having fun"

"I am actually, and why do you care? I thought you got yourself a date from one of the desperate girls"

"I do have a date, I was going to ask you if you wanted to dance with me"

"Why would you want to dance with me? Go back to your date" Nicki said then began to walk away, Jason pulled Nicki's arm pulling her back towards him. "Just one dance"

"I said no, now leave me alone asshole"

When I wanted him, he seemed so nice and laid back and he never gave a fuck about me. Now that I don't want him, he won't leave me alone. What is happening?

~

"Settle down kids, settle down! It's time to announce who has been voted prom king and queen"

An envelope was passed to the principal and he grabbed his glasses out his pockets so he could read the results.

"Okay, your prom queen is...".The drummer played a little beat for anticipation.”Onika Maraj"

The spotlight shone brightly over Nicki, "Why is so bright in here?" Nicki asked completely unaware of the situation.

"You were voted prom queen now get your ass up on the stage" Lauren said.

Nicki walked through the space on the dancefloor towards the stage as the other students clapped for her. A crown was placed on her head by a member of the students committee.

"Say a speech" The principal told her, "but please make it short"

Nicki slowly walked up to the microphone and spoke. "Erm I really don't know what to say, I wasn't expecting anyone to vote for me so thank you to everyone who voted for me and yeah. Thanks"

"And your prom king is..." The drummer again played a drum roll.

"Jason Davis! Everyone give it up for Jason Davis!"

Jason proudly walked through the crowd to the stage. "Thanks for voting for me. I didn't even write a speech," Jason reached into his pocket and pulled out a folded piece of paper. "I'm joking, I did" The crowd laughed.

"I want to thank my boys and my main man King!" King shouted from the crowd, "Ayeeee"

"Also want to thank my mum and dad for creating a pretty mofo" Everyone cheered for him.

"And lastly, I want to thank my amazing personality for making me so popular. Peace!" He saluted the crowd then we went to stand next to Nicki.

"Elizabeth Brown and James High, I present to you your prom king and queen" Jason grabbed Nicki's hand and they walked to the middle of the stage. They smiled and posed for the photographs.

This is weird. How was I voted prom queen?

"Now it's time for the prom king and queen to dance together" The principal announced.

Jason and Nicki walked to the middle of the dancefloor and the DJ played a slow song for them to dance to. As they swayed, Nicki whispered into Jason's ear, "I know you had something to do with this"

Jason turned them around and whispered back, "I have no idea what you're talking about"

"I know I didn't get enough votes to be prom queen"

"Okay, I admit it. I bribed some people to vote for you"

"But why?"

"I wanted to dance with you but after the other day when you turned me down, I knew you wouldn't."

"How come now you give me so much attention?"

"I heard your friends talking about how you had a crush on me so I thought you still did but obviously not"

The song was almost ending and Jason lightly kissed Nicki's cheek before walking away.

This is seriously so weird.

Nicki walked back to her table to enjoy the rest of the night.

~

"That was sooooo fun" Candi said as she climbed into the limo obviously tipsy.

"I know!" Lauren laughed.

"If your mum's saw you right now you would be dead" Drake said.

"Derrr, that's why we booked a hotel for us to stay in" Candi said and laughed really hard.

"Please help me" Nicki pleaded. 

I wonder who put alcohol in the punch. 

The limo pulled up outside of the hotel they were going to stay in, the limo driver told them they had arrived and wished them the best. Candi rushed to open the door and when it opened she fell out.

Nicki fell back in her chair laughing and so did everybody else. Dominic laughed then opened the other door to help Candi get up on her feet.

After getting checked in, they made their way to their hotel rooms. Each couple had their own suite to share.

"I'm so glad my mum booked the room for me and brought my bag" Nicki said.

"I wish I thought of that, I stuffed my clothes in my handbag" TT told them.

"That's exactly what I did" Lauren said. They were going to see what Candi was going to say but then they remember how out of it she was.

Unknowingly they had arrived to their hotel floor, they got out of the elevator and walked to their hotel rooms. After taking two steps, Nicki made Drake carry her. Dominic was carrying Candi anyway and the rest of them were fine so they could walk themselves.

"Bye" They shouted to each other as they walked into their rooms, closing the door behind them.

~

Drake had taken off his suit and rested his clothes on the back of a chair. He was sat on the edge of the bed shirtless with his eyes closed. Nicki walked out the bathroom wearing just her underwear.

Drake opened his eyes and saw Nicki looking naturally beautiful. He noticed how she had no make-up on and was caught off-guard. She sauntered over to him. When Nicki reached where Drake was, she leaned forward and kissed him. 

"What are you doing?" he mumbled against her lips.

"I just wanted to show you how much I love you" Nicki said then started kissing him again and pushed him down on the bed. Drake grabbed Nicki's waist and flipped them over.

While they kissed, their bodies moved against each others. Nicki lifted her leg up and her shirt rose up. Drake skilfully pulled her shirt off her body without breaking their kiss for more than 5 seconds.

"You're not just teasing me, are you?" Drake pulled away again. Nicki placed her legs on Drake's back and turned them over causing her to be straddling him.

"Nope, no teasing tonight" Drake unhooked her bra and threw it across the room.

This really is my lucky night.

14. Making Her Mine

The next morning Nicki woke up to her phone alarm beeping after turning it off, she lay back down and was shocked to see Drake asleep next to her. 

"I don't remember falling asleep in Drake's room" She said but then she realised she was in the spare room.

Nicki shook Drake trying to wake him up but he didn't even move.

"Get up!" Nicki shouted.

Drake continued to sleep through Nicki's attempts to wake him up.  Nicki climbed on top of him and then decided to do what she had done the night before; she began to grind on him and got the same result.

Drake's eyes popped open. "Ergh. Not again! You need to stop doing that!" 

"Mmm hmm. What are you doing in here?"

"I woke up in the middle of the night and went to the bathroom. When I finished doing my business, I heard you crying so I came in here to see if you were okay. You were crying in your sleep so I got in bed and cuddled you to calm you down. You eventually calmed down but I was too tired to go back to my room so I stayed here"

"That was nice of you. I wonder what I was crying about. I would kiss you but you know, morning breath"

"It doesn't matter" Drake said and closed his eyes puckered his lips.

"I guess not. Give me 2 seconds" Nicki went to the wardrobe to grab a towel then she walked out the room to the bathroom.

Drake still had his lips puckered, he opened his eyes to see he was alone again. "She's such a little teaser" 

He stretched and walked to his room to get his stuff ready while Nicki occupied the shower.

~

30 minutes later, both Nicki and Drake were ready for school.

Nicki had made some toast for her and Drake to share. Drake raced downstairs grabbing a slice and eating it.

"Why are you in such a hurry?" Nicki asked after swallowing the toast that was in her mouth.

"School starts in 20 minutes and its 30 minutes away." Drake explained.

"You have a car, you'll be there in less than 20 minutes" 

"If I get caught speeding it's your fault!" Drake warned her then he gave her a quick kiss before dashing out the door.

Nicki shook her head and continued eating her toast. As she was eating the last slice of toast, she remembered something.

Shit. TT!

She grabbed her phone off the counter and quickly sent a text to TT.

* Sorry I forgot to tell you I'm not at home, I'll explain why at school.

After the text sent, Nicki left out a sigh of relief. She then ran upstairs to grab her bag and ran out the door as well. 

~

"So are you going to tell me why you weren’t at home and why I almost was late for school?" TT said.

Nicki raised her eyebrow before answering. "To cut a long story short, my mum's on a business trip and dad and Cai went with her. Jelani's at college so I have to stay at Drake's till Sunday!"

"No way!" Candi said.

"Way" Nicki laughed. "I've been meaning to tell y'all something for a while but I think this is the right time to tell you"

TT, Candi and Lauren waited impatiently for Nicki to continue.

"Drake and I are dating"

Candi's jaw dropped, TT's eyes widened and Lauren was speechless.

Lauren was the first one to break the silence, "Whaaaaat? When did this happen?"

"How long?" TT asked.

"Just over 3 months"

"Shut up! Why didn't you tell us?"

"I only told my parents on Sunday. I wanted to tell them before I told y'all"

"3 months though? That's a bit longer than people normally wait to tell their friends they are dating someone"

"Come on! You're seriously not upset about that, are you?" Nicki asked. Their facial expressions told them what she didn't want to hear or see.

"You took weeks to tell me that Drake had a crush on me! I wasn't upset about that, was I?" Their expressions loosened showing their change in the way they felt.

"See. You have no reason to be upset with me, I love you guys and I would never keep anything a secret from you all. Forgive me?"

"Yes!" They shrieked and crushed her giving her a hug.

"You going to tell us how it happened?" Lauren asked.

~

"Pipe down! I've got to tell you something!" Drake shouted.

When they were silenced, Drake continued. "Remember that girl I was telling you about?"

They nodded. "She's finally mine"

"Yes Drizzy!" Michael shouted.

"My nig!" Vincent said.

The rest of the gang shouted things at him, making Drake feel like someone special.

"Guess what else?"

"What?"

"She's staying at mine for 3 days!"

"Yooo! You're gonna have time to beat that pussy up!" James laughed.

~

After school, Drake was finishing off his homework.

"There is something I need to do but what?"

He finished the work he was doing then he looked through his agenda. It's not homework.

So what could it be? Drake sat down deeply in thought.

"That's it! I still have to ask to Nicki to prom."

It sounds stupid but girls don't automatically go to prom with you if you're dating so I better be safe than sorry.

Drake dialled a number on his phone, "Hey, can you do me a favour?"

Nicki was at cheer practice when Ashley told her to sit down.

"What did I do? You're not going to tell me I'm kicked off the team, are you?"

"Nicki, shut up!" Megan, a fellow cheerleader of hers shouted. Nicki was taken back by the comment so she stayed quiet.

Music started play and the cheerleader apart from Nicki got in their positions for the dance. They started by doing the usual dance which consisted of claps and twirls then they broke out into a gymnastic routine. Finally they stood in a line with a sheet of papers in their hands.

"What is this?" Nicki asked herself. Drake suddenly walked though the back entrance of the school's gym but Nicki couldn't see him.

The cheerleaders held up the sheets of paper and all together it spelled out, "Will you go to prom with me?" Nicki's face was priceless, Drake pushed through the cheerleaders and said to her, "so will you?"

After about 2 minutes of silence, Nicki stood up and ran into Drake's arms. "Is that a yes?"

"Yes! Yes! Yes!" Nicki shouted. Everyone in the gym began to clap and Drake's friends walked in clapping as well.




This probably the shortest chapter I've wrote but the next one's are longer especially chapter 19 :)
